I love to travel and explore; whether it be discovering the great outdoors in the UK, finding hidden gems in a European city, or escaping to relax on a beautiful beach in the scorching heat.  I haven’t had the opportunity to travel as much as I’d like over the past four years, mainly due to circumstances out of my control. But also, three years ago I bought my first ever house. So much of my time, energy and money was focused on creating a home that I loved and was proud of and it didn’t leave me with much money left to enjoy going travelling.

So now that I’m entering a brand new chapter of my life, I have vowed that I will use this precious time to explore the world more and be a little more spontaneous!

My good friend Laura Cotter quit her job in December to embark on an 18 month adventure around Asia and Australia with her friend Emma. She is currently in Thailand and will touch down in Bali on the 3rd May.

May the 4th be with you!

Last week I booked flights to go and meet her and Emma on the 4th May.

It hasn’t even sunk in properly yet that I’m going. On my own. Scary. I haven’t even booked a hotel yet. This is probably the most spontaneous thing I’ve ever done in my life ahhhhh!

So this next four days are going to be pretty hectic. I need to move the remainder of my stuff out of my house, I complete on my house sale, I need to sort a hotel, go shopping and get some holiday stuff and mainly get excited! EEEEEEK!

If anyone has any tips for where to visit in Bali please let me know!

Eat, Pray, Love.
