Exploring Conwy Castle

Architecture, Exploring, Travel

My Auntie and Cousin arrived in the UK yesterday for the first time ever, following a 15 hour journey from Malaysia. We decided to take them to Conwy in Wales to explore the World Heritage site for their first day out! If you’re looking for ideas for a family day out then I’d say Conwy Castle is one of the best things to visit in North Wales.

The last time I saw my Malaysian relatives was 9 whole years ago when I visited Malaysia for a month and I can’t believe how fast the time has flown since then. I wish I had the opportunity to venture to that side of the world more often but life just gets in the way sometimes and before you know it, years have passed by without even realising it. Malaysia is such a beautiful country and all of my Mum’s side of the family live over there, so I have no excuse not to visit really. Nevertheless, it’s nice to be able to show some of the Malaysian relatives around Liverpool and the surrounding areas.

The weather has been gorgeous this weekend so today has been a perfect day out. Conwy is such a quant town with an impressive Thirteenth-century Castle and walls. It was such a nice day strolling the streets looking at the different properties, walking along the Castle walls and relaxing at the harbour with an ice-cream. We also saw the smallest house in Great Britain which is in the Guinness Book Of Records; its absolutely tiny!
