I love the story of why our clients bought their warehouse apartment; Katie’s father had unfortunately passed away the year previous. His name being Stanley, originally from Liverpool and an avid Everton supporter. In her father’s memory, Katie and her husband Simon kept the family tradition of visiting Liverpool to watch the football with their kids. It was fate when these apartments came up for sale, overlooking the new Everton ground at Stanley dock. They just had to buy one as a holiday home for when they came up to watch the match as you can see the new Everton football ground from their window!
Key goals
- Create a bolthole for our clients to stay in that had a luxury boutique hotel feel with a mix of rustic and industrial features for laid back luxury
- Manage the project from concept to completion as our clients didn’t live locally
- The space needed to be flexible for entertaining and relaxing with flexibility for when their boys or friends stayed over
- Create a bold, statement space with unique features that feels like a complete escape from home.
Interior style
The interior style is a fusion of rustic and industrial styles with some fun, bold and luxurious statement features to create a boutique hotel feel. The spaces needed to reflect our client’s personalities and give a sense of fun in the main living space, so it could be a space filled with joy when entertaining. They wanted the apartment to feel completely different to their own home so were open to being more bold and adventurous with colour. The main two bedrooms have a calming oasis feel with lots of natural textures and calming colours. The third bedroom is a fun space for their young boys or guests to enjoy when staying.
